At present, under the strong situation of serious white pollution all over the world, BDO (1,4-butanediol) has attracted much attention because it is one of the main raw materials of biodegradable material PBAT. In China, BDO industry is becoming an important part of degradable plastics industry chain. Acetylene gas is an important raw material for BDO production. Acetylene has very active chemical properties and can carry out addition, oxidation, polymerization, metal substitution and other reactions. It is not only one of the important basic organic chemical raw materials, but also an energetic raw material. It has a wide application prospect and economic value. In the previous BDO process, due to the low concentration of acetylene and other components in the tail gas in the production process, the process waste gas is discharged to the flare for combustion treatment for a long time, resulting in great energy waste and environmental pollution.
 | In this regard, Sichuan Zhongyuan United Chemical Co., Ltd. organized a technical research team to develop a new solvent method for recovering acetylene from BDO tail gas according to BDO production process and tail gas emission. The special solvent used in this process has the characteristics of highly selective adsorption of acetylene, and the concentration of acetylene gas recovered can reach more than 99%. The device can operate stably and safely within the range of 70% ~ 110% operating flexibility. |
Project information:
Recently, our company has signed an EPS contract with a large BDO manufacturer in Inner Mongolia to provide a full set of process technology transfer, including basic design, equipment supply, installation guidance and original start-up guidance.
At present, the project has completed the design and all equipment procurement. The project has entered the stage of comprehensive construction and installation. It is expected that the completion of the project will bring excellent economic benefits. According to the current acetylene price, the investment of the project can be recovered in six months.
